Next: Guidelines for a scientific programme Up: MASSIVE STELLAR CLUSTERS

Organisation

The workshop will be held in Strasbourg, France, from Nov. 8 to Nov. 10, 1999, with an informal extension on Nov. 11 (an excursion to the historical town of Colmar in the morning, with a stop in a country restaurant for "Flammekueche" and Alsacian wine on the way back; Strasbourg itself is worth spending the afternoon in town!).

The scientific organisation is in the hands of:

... but your suggestions and comments are welcome!

D.Egret, A.Fresneau and the Strasbourg Observatory Administration have kindly accepted to help us with the local organisation.

We particularly wish to thank two students (Mustapha Mouhcine and Jean-Luc Vergely) for their communicative enthousiasm!

Workshop format

Each half day will consist of two 1.5 hour sessions separated by a 30 min. break. For each 1.5 hour session we plan about 1 hour of oral contributions (2 or 3) and 30 minutes of discussions. There should be a 2 hour lunch break.

Participants will have the opportunity to stand up and present 1 (or an absolute maximum of 2) relevant viewgraphs during the discussion periods.

On the last day, there will be even more discussion, on topics related on one hand to the use of existing data and specifications for new observations, on the other to the interaction between dynamicists and stellar astrophysicists.
